How to make a PDF under 1 MB from photos
- Add your JPG files: Drop or pick one or more JPG files. Other image types can go in the same PDF too.
- Set the order and page: Drag to reorder, pick A4, US Letter or "Fit to Image", and optionally a target size in KB.
- Download the PDF: Convert and download. Nothing is uploaded.
The limit is already filled in
"Target PDF Size" is set to 1 MB. The PDF is made to fit: each photo keeps the highest quality that fits, and is shrunk only when lowering quality isn't enough. You can change the number before converting.
Counted the strict way
Portals don't agree on what a KB is (1000 or 1024 bytes). We aim for at most 1,000,000 bytes, so the PDF passes a 1 MB limit either way.
When it can't get that small
The more pages, the less room each one gets. Pages are never squeezed below about 60 DPI, because a form that can't be read gets rejected anyway. If it still doesn't fit, the result says so: use fewer photos, crop them to the document first, or check whether the portal accepts separate files.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs in your browser on your own phone or computer, and the files never leave it. After the tool has loaded once, it also works without internet.
How many photos fit in a 1 MB PDF?
About eight phone photos fit at 1 MB with good detail. With many more, the tool tells you if they can’t fit.
Will a 1 MB PDF be accepted if the portal counts 1 KB as 1024 bytes?
Yes. We aim for at most 1,000,000 bytes, which is under the limit whichever way the portal counts.
Can I change the page order?
Yes. Drag the files, or use the up and down arrows next to each one. The PDF follows the order on screen. You can add up to 50 images, 25 MB each.
