Still Too Big? What Works for Aadhaar
- Use the original e-Aadhaar, not a phone photo of it. The UIDAI PDF is mostly text and compresses to a fraction of a photographed copy.
- Scanning a printed card? Put the front and back on one page and scan at 150 DPI in grayscale; that keeps the file small before any compression.
- Consider the masked Aadhaar. UIDAI lets you download a version that shows only the last 4 digits of your number. Use it wherever the full number is not required.
