HEIC to PDF: iPhone photos straight to PDF
How to convert HEIC to PDF
- Add your HEIC files: Drop or pick one or more HEIC files. Other image types can go in the same PDF too.
- Set the order and page: Drag to reorder, pick A4, US Letter or "Fit to Image", and optionally a target size in KB.
- Download the PDF: Convert and download. Nothing is uploaded.
No need to convert to JPG first
iPhones save photos as HEIC, which most websites and many browsers can't open. The converter reads HEIC on your device and puts it into the PDF, so you can go from the Photos app to an upload-ready PDF in one step.
If a HEIC photo won't open
Now and then a HEIC file can't be read in the browser. The tool names the file, and you can remove it and convert the rest. To fix it on the iPhone, share the photo with "Most Compatible" selected (Photos, Share, Options), or take a screenshot of it.
From the iPhone itself
On the iPhone, tap the upload area, choose Photo Library and pick the photos. There's nothing to install. Big batches of full-size photos need a lot of memory, so on an older phone convert a few at a time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs in your browser on your own phone or computer, and the files never leave it. After the tool has loaded once, it also works without internet.
Do I need to change my iPhone camera settings?
No. You can leave the camera on High Efficiency (HEIC). The converter reads HEIC directly.
Is HEIC to PDF slower than JPG to PDF?
A little. Each HEIC photo has to be decoded first, which adds a moment per photo.
How do I make the PDF smaller than a portal limit?
Type the limit in "Target PDF Size" before converting. We count it the strict way (200 KB means at most 200,000 bytes), so the file passes on portals that count 1 KB as 1000 bytes and on those that count 1024. If the photos can’t get that small and stay readable, the result says so instead of giving you an unreadable file.
Can I change the page order?
Yes. Drag the files, or use the up and down arrows next to each one. The PDF follows the order on screen. You can add up to 50 images, 25 MB each.
