NEET UG 2026 upload sizes at a glance
These numbers come from the NEET (UG) 2026 Information Bulletin published by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
| Upload | Format | File size |
|---|---|---|
| Passport-size photograph | JPG / JPEG | 10–200 KB |
| Signature | JPG / JPEG | 10–100 KB |
| Left and right hand fingers and thumb impressions | JPG / JPEG | 10–200 KB |
| Category certificate (if applicable) | 50–300 KB | |
| Class 10 certificate and marksheet | 50–300 KB each | |
| PwD / PwBD / UDID certificate (if applicable) | 50–300 KB | |
| Address proof (present and permanent) | 50–300 KB | |
| Identity proof (if not verifying through Aadhaar or DigiLocker) | JPG / JPEG | 10–200 KB |
The bulletin doesn't fix pixel dimensions. A normal passport-size proportion (3.5 cm × 4.5 cm) works well.
Photo rules
- Recent passport-size photo, in colour or black and white.
- About 80% of the image should be your face, without a mask, with both ears visible.
- White background.
- Keep 6–8 passport-size and 4–6 postcard-size (4" × 6") prints of the same photo with a white background. You'll need them for the admit card and at the exam centre.
How to prepare all NEET files at once
- Photograph or scan your photo, signature, finger and thumb impressions and certificates.
- Open the NEET document kit and add all the files. Each one is matched to its slot, and you can change the match.
- The kit brings each file inside its range and shows a ✓ or ✗ for every slot.
- Download everything as one ZIP and upload each file on the NTA form.
Common mistakes
- Files under the minimum: a 6 KB signature is rejected just like a 150 KB one. The minimum is 10 KB for images and 50 KB for PDFs.
- A different photo on the admit card day: the printed photos must match the uploaded one.
- Certificates as images: certificates must be PDFs, not JPGs.
