Open CompressKaro in Chrome or Safari, choose the PDF from your Files or Downloads, type the size limit, and download the result. It runs in the phone's browser, so there is nothing to install and the file is not uploaded.

Steps

  1. Open compresskaro.com/compress-pdf in your phone's browser.
  2. Tap to choose a file. On Android pick it from Files, Downloads or Google Drive; on iPhone from the Files app.
  3. Type the portal's limit (for example 200 KB) or tap a preset.
  4. Tap Compress. The first time, the compression engine (about 11 MB) downloads once; use Wi-Fi if your data is limited.
  5. Download the result. It is saved to Downloads (Android) or Files (iPhone), ready to upload to the portal.

Use it offline and from the share menu

  • Offline: after your first compression the engine is saved on the phone, so the tool keeps working without internet.
  • Add to Home screen to open it like an app.
  • On Android, once added, CompressKaro appears in the share menu: share a PDF or photo straight to it.

Photos and signatures

For exam photos and signatures, use the image compressor or the kit for your exam, which also sets the pixel size.
